Discover Underwater Ireland

Irelands West coast, the most Westerly in Europe, provides extraordinarily good diving. This Atlantic coastline lies square in the path of the Gulf Stream, making it much milder than other equivalent latitudes, and bringing with it an abundance of colourful marine life. Add to this a highly indented coast with huge inlets and a myriad of islands, utterly unpolluted waters, with spectacular seascape, and you have a very special diving area!

It has never been easier or cheaper to visit Ireland. The largest passenger car ferry in the World operates between Liverpool and Dublin (Irish Ferries).

The largest fast ferries in the World operate 5 crossings per day (99mins) between Holyhead/ Dunlaoire (Dublin), Fishguard / Rosslare and Stranraer / Belfast (Stena Line).

Ryan Air provide cheap flights from Stansted, Gatwick, Luton and many regional airports to Dublin and to Shannon and Knock airports in the West.

Accommodation, food, drink and entertainment are of a high standard and good value for money.

If you have not experienced it before you are in for a treat. So near to the U.K. but so very different.

The West of Ireland is a dramatically beautiful place with mountains, lakes, beaches, islands and startling green landscape, dotted with villages and small towns where the way of life remains much as it has been for many years.

Irish friendliness and hospitality is renowned, as is the traditional music and conviviality of the pub scene.

A number of Irelands approved Dive Centres, with the support of the tourist board (Bord Failte), act together to jointly promote Ireland as a dive holiday destination.

Most offer complete packages including “Drive and Dive”, with discounted ferry rates, Fly/Drives, and special accommodation rates.
